Being a classical singer since the age of 13, Riley Russell has done extensive studies in the operatic and classical genres. She has performed in and won many music festivals with her choirs including the individual standout performance Maestro Award from the Heritage Festival in Boston, MA. Riley has sung and collaborated with many prominent figures in the entertainment industry, including Grammy Award winners Hussain Jiffry and Jose Valentino. Recently she has broadened her range as a vocal artist to contemporary, pop and jazz styles, making her jazz performance debut in February 2020 at the Hippodrome Theatre in Gainesville, FL. Known in the University of Florida School of Music for her versatility as a singer and performer, she was cast in principal roles for multiple University of Florida opera productions including The Telephone and the world premiere of The Golem of Prague. She has also been featured in many different choir concerts as a soloist in the University Choir under the direction of Dr. Richard Kelsing. Riley has also become proficient in music producing and songwriting under the tutelage of Dr. Jose Valentino. During her time with Dr. Valentino she orchestrated, composed and produced 3 original songs, a film score, a commercial score and film voice overs.
